ON TO K4

Logan officially finished his year at APL School with an all school picnic.
As always, I can't say enough about the wonderful start to schooling APL school gives kids.
Logan is very quite and shy in school but listens and does what is asked of him.
He now has the basic "school skills" he needs to start kindergarten.
He will be going to a half day K4 program at the same school as the girls
in the fall.
It's hard to believe that he is old enough for "real" school and Caitlin
will be in second grade and Shannon in fifth!
UNBELIEVABLE.

SPRING SOCCER

The girls are once again in the midst of a soccer season.
It was a pretty rainy start to spring so many of our games were canceled.
We now have 2 games every Saturday and 2 games every Sunday
until the end of the season!
It is lots of fun though.
Some shots of Shannon in action...
Caitlin's team lined up and ready to go.
In this game Caitlin scored 3 of her teams 4 goals!

GIRL SCOUT FUN!

The girls and I had our end of the year Girl Scout Ceremony.
This year's theme was "Flower Power".
My Daisy Scouts tye-dyed these shirts at one of our meetings.
That was quite the adventure ;) It was a very exciting night for our Daisy Troop because we officially became Brownies!Shannon's troop wrote a poem describing all the fun they had this year.

Then they did an awesome dance to "Dancing Queen".
Although dancing is not Shannon's favorite, she had fun and did great.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HERCULES!

We always have a small celebration for everyone's birthday, and
we couldn't forget Hercules' first birthday!!!! He has been such a fun addition to our family.
He really is a good boy.
The kids got him this basketball, some bones, and the fun
peanut butter doggie ice cream Cait is holding!
After celebrating, Herc was all tired out and headed for one of his favorite
places...the window ledge in the living room :) Sometimes it takes him a jump or two to get onto the ledge, but once he is there,
he loves looking out the window.

DANNY GOKEY DAY!

American Idol contestant Danny Gokey came back to Milwaukee for a visit.
Chris and I took Caitlin and Logan to his parade.
It was CRAZY...there were tons of people and everyone was so excited to see Danny.
It was really pretty cool!
Danny arrived in a limo but then got out to ride in a convertible with camera crew right beside him.
The parade sped by...lasted a whole 5 minutes really but it was neat to see Danny and all the crowd that came out to welcome him home.
Shannon was lucky enough to go in to his concert with her friend Carly and her family.
There were more than 25,000 people at the stage!
They stood on a concrete pillar and couldn't see great but they did hear everything!

TALENT SHOW

Both Shannon and Caitlin were in their school's talent show this year.
Caitlin and her friends Isabel and Abbey danced to the American Girl song "Victory Sisters".
Caitlin was a little shy...she had "stage fright" she said, but she did great. Grammy made the cute dress Caitlin wore.
We weren't expecting to make a costume but Grammy did a great job!
Shannon and her friends Carly, Katie, and Maddie danced and sang to the song
"Tell Me Something I Don't Know".
They decided matching shirts would be enough for their costumes.
They looked great!Shannon strikes a pose!
The girls had lots of fun with their friends.

FLY AWAY!!!!

A little late...but we did enjoy the springtime weather during spring break to do a little kite flying. Eventually, Shannon's kite got super high.
Logan ran and ran to get his kite to fly.
Chris and Cait worked to get her kite to take off.
Kite flying was tons of fun!!!
