A TRIP TO REMEMBER

It is hard to believe our Disney trip has come and gone so quickly.
We took literally hundreds of pictures so I tried to give a snapshot here.
We had an absolutely fabulous time. The kids were awesome even though we had no schedule at all for a whole week :)
We stayed at the beautiful Polynesian Resort.
This is a view from the lake as we took the ferry boat back from the Magic Kingdom
one afternoon. The grounds of the hotel are magnificent. This pretty waterfall is right outside the front doors. This is inside the hotel lobby.
We used the Disney meal plan again which we love.
We had four character meals during our stay.
The kids love these because each of the characters stop and spend time at your table, sign autographs, and take pictures.
It beats waiting in long lines to meet the characters.
This was Donald Duck at Chef Mickey's.
Chris and I even got celebratory cupcakes at Chef Mickey's for our anniversary ;)Daisy Duck was at Donald's Safari Breakfast at Animal Kingdom.
Donald, Mickey, and Goofy were also there. The supercalifragilistic breakfast at the Grand Floridian was very fancy.
Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, The Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger were there.

We had breakfast with Lilo and Stitch at Ohana right in our hotel.

The kids had such a good time getting the characters' autographs.

They got 40 this trip!

We even met Tinkerbell and 2 other fairies as we magically journeyed to Pixie Hollow.

We love the Goofy movies that have his son Max in them and
we were very excited to get to meet Max.

At Animal Kingdom, we went through the beautiful sculpture garden at the tree of life.
It was full of huge carvings like this monkey.

Animal Kingdom turned out to be a phenomenal place to meet characters.
We got this cute picture with Minnie.
Each day we spent some time at the pool at the Polynesian.
It had a waterfall and volcano slide but one end was a wading pool
so Logan could have fun too.

Logan especially enjoyed the water pad and could chase the water for hours if we let him:)

We spent just a couple of hours at Epcot. It was super hot and there wasn't
that much the kids wanted to do there.
We did really enjoy the Nemo ride and viewing all the fish and creatures in the huge aquarium.

One of the benefits of staying at the Polynesian is it is right on the monorail.

We hopped on right outside our hotel and took off.

One day the kids got the coveted seats right in front with the driver.
It certainly was quite a view!

Night time at Disney is tons of fun. It is cooler for one and everything is lit up and glowing. The fireworks display at the Magic Kingdom was spectacular. It is set to music and began with Tinkerbell flying high above our heads from the castle! Caitlin couldn't believe her eyes!

It is hard to sum up what a wonderful time we had during the week. The kids did great on the flights and enjoyed the parks so much. We can't wait to go back again sometime soon!

TIME TOGETHER

Beautiful weather had us out and about. We walked the Seven Bridges and
practiced skipping stones. Simple times together are often the best!

The kids are all done with school and each had a great year.

Chris and I both had rocky ends to our school years and are extremely grateful

for some time off this summer.

Check back soon to see our pictures with Mickey Mouse...please pray for smooth flights and good weather!
