NEW YEAR'S EVE

When we first started dating many years ago, Chris and I went to see the Globetrotters a couple New Year's Eves in a row. We haven't gone for a while and decided to take the kids this year.
We got a great buy one get one deal on tickets and had really good seats. We were close to the court and the kids could see everything. It was a great way to start the day!

close enough to see all the action
After the game, we braved the crowds to get a few autographs.
This was Doc and the kids. Slick also posed for a picture.
The kids really wanted to meet Big Easy or Flight Time. We had watched them compete in the Amazing Race and were excited to see them play basketball.
Unfortunately, those lines were incredibly long so we didn't get to meet them.
After the Globetrotters we had Chris' parents, his brother Dave, my mom and Uncle Jerry over for dinner. Sitting down to enjoy a New Year's Eve feast - steak, garlic mashed potatoes, veggies, crab cakes, shrimp, rolls, and onion rings...delicious!!!
Grammy joined the kids for dinner this year complete with Asti for the grown-ups and sparkling cider for the kids!
Dinner wouldn't be complete with lots of yummy desserts...cheesecake, cream puffs, eclairs, and the kids favorite - chocolate fondue and lots of dipping choices! Ready to celebrate the New Year!!
The kids had an early Happy New Year celebration complete with hats, noisemakers, streamers, and poppers!

Wishing you all the best in 2010!!!!
